Media Relations
Preparation
- Compile target media list
- Fact finding
- Gather all relevant info to compile press release and media packs
- Source images / set up photo shoot for new images
Action
- Write press release
- Send out to all target media including magazine, newspaper and online
- Follow up with media to ensure maximum coverage
- Client and media liaison
Evaluate
- Setting up and liaising with media monitoring through Newsclip for up to date coverage obtained.
- Status report
- Coverage report with AVE and PR values to measure ROI
- Coverage book and CD containing all media and press clippings
- Google analytics
- Facebook graphs
Social Media Marketing
- Set up Facebook group, Twitter account and Flickr photo sharing account
- Invite all friends/followers (6000) to join groups
- Update Facebook and Flickr with coverage, links to website, new pictures (from photo shoot / event), press release
- Set up and run targeted Facebook ads about: a promotion / competition / product or specials launch / new opening / other, sending people to the Facebook group or website.
- Post listing about specials / launch / event online to all relevant sites and portals.
Media Event
Arranging a media launch event:
- Inviting media to the event
- Design and dissemination of the invitation
- Media liaison at the event
- Drafting the post event press release, following-up with media re. post coverage and fact checking
- Managing staff at the event
- Compilation of press packs and goody bags
- Organizing and liaising with the photographer
- Media accreditation
- Sponsor finding
