Mediterranean Delicacies Meets Those Who Wander

As part of their pursuit to permeate numerous spheres of lifestyle and gastronomy, Mediterranean Delicacies pairs up with Salon 91 for the exhibition launch of Those Who Wander, beginning July 25th, 2014. The contemporary art collection comprises a collection of eight incredibly gifted young South African artists showcasing a multimedia mix of print, sculpture, drawing and painting. The theme draws on elements of misfits and outcasts exploring the wastelands of the chosen artists’ minds and our universe. Artists include: Gerhard Human, Ree Treweek, Daniël du Plessis, Jade Klara, Bruce Mackay, Jean de Wet, Hanno Van Zyl and Rikus Ferreira. Commencing at 6:30pm guests may enjoy Mediterranean Delicacies’ delicious new Regal Range as well as gourmet tapas whilst perusing these unique pieces.

Celebrate decadence in Durbanville with the all-new fabulously indulgent Cellarbake@Nitida wine pairing festival on Sunday 23 March 2014 from 11am to 7pm. On Sunday, 6th October 2013, Nitida Wine Farm, in the beautiful Durbanville Wine Valley, is set to celebrate the start of spring with its annual Seasons of Sauvignon Festival. A ticket purchase offers each guest a Nitida branded wine glass with a voucher for a glass of Nitida’s famous Sauvignon Blanc, an invitation to a tutored tasting of several of Durbanville Valley’s Sauvignon Blancs, a guest’s choice serving from one of a variety of the fabulous Cassia food stalls, live jazz music, wine specials and kids entertainment on and off the water. This fun-filled day for the whole family is an event not to be missed.

SIRIUS – The Intergalactic Journey returns to Cape Town!

After much success of the first SIRIUS indoor-outdoor event, the 12-hour intergalactic journey returns on Friday, 09 August 2013, featuring top international artists INTERACTIVE NOISE and D-NOX, powered by Ultra Event Technical Solutions. The creator of LOVE & LIGHT and PACHA Ibiza Cape Town will be hosting the second SIRIUS event on the 9th of August at Bloemendal, Durbanville Wine Valley, with a beautiful 270? panoramic view of the Cape Peninsula. “The first SIRIUS completely topped all my expectations, everything seemed to effortlessly fall into place on the day – a world class venue, excellent music and professional production. Nitida Wine Estate is warming up the Valley this winter with delicious soups, crispy bread and handmade wines! Cassia Restaurant and Tables @ Nitida, situated on the spectacular Nitida Wine Farm, will take part in Durbanville Wine Valley’s annual Soup, Sip and Bread festival, on 1 – 2 June 2013.

Cassia will be showcasing five superb soups themed to reflect the four Elements of Nature – plus an exceptional fifth element called Ether (clear sky). All the soups have featured on Cassia’s menu as old favourites over the past five years. The soups are served from traditional potjie pots at R60.00 per soup or R90.00 for a choice of four; each accompanied with a freshly home baked Panini. The choice of soups being served is:
  • Earth: Vegetable and Barley Soup
  • Wind: Bean, Cabbage, Lentil and Ham Hock

Love and Light Day Party, in collaboration with Lovoka, returns on 9 March 2013 – bringing top international progressive psy-trance acts Liquid Soul and Symphonix to the spectacular Mountain Shadows venue in Paarl, Cape Town! These much-anticipated acts will be playing alongside a selection of South Africa’s leading artists including Connecto, Dave Mac, Ivan – Killer Robot, Fogshow, Anthea Scholtz and Stephan Wyeth.
